The GCCI is the oldest private sector representative organization in Guyana which was established in 1890, legislatively mandated under the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry Act Chapter 89:03 of the laws of Guyana. The GCCI holds partisan interests of its members and is a non-profit organization consisting of the business community dedicated to bringing businesses together and to improve the economy of our country for a better Guyana.
The Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s main objective is to provide advocacy to our business community by protecting and promoting the interests of businesses and ensuring ethical practices in trade, commerce and industry, connecting businesses and stimulating policies in order to foster the economic and social development of the state of Guyana.
